Do I need an account to use the app?
No. Download the app and use it in Sandbox mode for free, forever. An account is only needed to activate a paid plan or use the Mulberry API without your own key.
What is BYOK?
Bring Your Own Key — paste in your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, or Google Gemini and the app uses it directly. Available on Connect and above.
What is the Mulberry API?
Signed-in Connect+ users can use Mulberry's hosted inference endpoint without needing a third-party key. ✦ Mulberry Auto selects the best model for your request. ✦ Zazu is our independently developed language model on Inference+.
What does "on-device" mean?
On the Inference plan the AI runs entirely on your device using Apple's on-device model stack. No data is sent to any server. Works in airplane mode.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime from your account page. Billing is prorated to the day.
How is payment handled?
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never store card details. The app ships direct/notarized — not through the App Store — so there are no Apple IAP fees passed on to you.
